A WEEKEND IN STRATFORD

Posted: Aug 16 2018

I was born and raised in Stratford - so I am a bit biased about my hometown – but it is pretty fabulous. It has big city perks with small town charm and a relaxed pace. It is the perfect destination for a weekend. Plan to spend a few nights so you can be sure to visit the many shops and restaurants and take in local activities.

If you are travelling from Toronto it should take you about 90 minutes to drive (depending on traffic of course!) You could take the train - VIA will take you from Union station to downtown Stratford with WIFI and pretty views in about 2 hours. If you have tickets for the Festival Theatre (and you should!) there is a bus service from downtown Toronto to downtown Stratford - very reasonably priced and with frequent runs.

A comprehensive guide to all places to eat, drink, shop, sleep and a full events calendar so you know what to be seeing and doing is this site:
