Black Friday is a bit different in Distill.
Our mandate is to support independent designers, sustainable designs and ethically made craft and fashions. We support the special human investment of hand made, fair labour practices and sustainable employment for our artists. It is impossible for us to provide the 70% off discounts that big box stores and retailers will advertise on BLACK FRIDAY.
This BLACK FRIDAY, please browse our 'LAST CALL' section for this season's styles now discounted and please accept our gift of a ceramic 'rest' dish with any purchase over $120 - in stores or online - on November 23rd.
Thank you for shopping local and for supporting an independent retailer and Canadian designers!

The CHRISTMAS TRAIL has started in Stratford!
Grab your Stratford Christmas Trail vouchers at the Stratford Tourism Alliance Office at 47 Downie Street ($30 gets you 6 vouchers), check out the map and get visiting the 25 shops in Stratford's city centre to scoop up your goodies along the Christmas Trail.
This year DISTILL is giving out wee ceramic dishes by Allison Skinner (yup - me!)
I call these ceramic pieces 'REST' as they are the perfect size to keep rings or jewellery, put that tea bag you are going to steep again, the spoon or bar of soap that needs a rest or the condiments that will adorn a table to make the meal complete. There are countless uses! Please visit us at 96 Downie with your vouchers at the ready and select the dish for you - or gift it to a friend. 'Tis the season!

I was born and raised in Stratford - so I am a bit biased about my hometown – but it is pretty fabulous. It has big city perks with small town charm and a relaxed pace. It is the perfect destination for a weekend. Plan to spend a few nights so you can be sure to visit the many shops and restaurants and take in local activities.
If you are travelling from Toronto it should take you about 90 minutes to drive (depending on traffic of course!) You could take the train - VIA will take you from Union station to downtown Stratford with WIFI and pretty views in about 2 hours. If you have tickets for the Festival Theatre (and you should!) there is a bus service from downtown Toronto to downtown Stratford - very reasonably priced and with frequent runs.
